DAT511 Loop Powered Galvanic Isolator.

Datexel, specializing in signal conditioning and solving ground loop isolation problems would like to present the DAT511. The DAT 511 is a self powered passive galvanic isolator that will isolate any 4-20mA loop. Breaking the loop and fitting the DAT511 will provide isolation between the field instrumentation such as magnetic flow meters and the control room such as PLC's indicators. Breaking the ground loop is extremely important and should be done on all instrumentation loops. Errors can occur in ground loops at any time and can be intermittent. Ground loops are caused by differential potentials on earths. If two pieces of equipment have different earth potentials, an equalization of these potentials will be sought. This equalization will affect the 4-20mA signal. Sometimes large errors will be seen but other times it could be very small errors which means inaccuracy and difficult prediction.

The DAT511 is din rail mountable to EN50022 and EN50035 standards.

The DAT511 provides 3000V of isolation and only uses a volt drop of 3V with accuracy off 0.25%. As it is loop powered it does not need a separate power supply. The housing is made of plastic and the thickness is only 19mm.
