DAT802 Voltage - Current LED Digital Indicator.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DATEXEL DAT802 is a 3.5 digit LED digital indicator with high accuracy and reliability able to measure current or voltage signals.
The DATEXEL DAT802 is designed for mounting in a panel in accordance with DIN 43700 standards. It also has a function to freeze (HOLD) the display.
It is possible to set, by jumper, the input attenuation ratio of the display (x 10 and x 100) and the decimal point position.
The DATEXEL DAT802 is in compliance with the directive CEE/336/89 on the Electromagnetic Compatibility.
The power supplies available are 24Vdc isolated, 110Vac, 230Vac and 5Vdc.
As an option, a 24Vdc output can be available to power the current loop transmitter.
The instrument conforms to the 89/336/EEC directives on electromagnetic compatibility and is housed in a case complying with DIN 43700 standards.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Voltage / current input: In the instrument two separate inputs are provided: one for the voltage (T3 terminal) and the other for the current
(T1 terminal). They are referenced to the same voltage (T2 terminal). The normalized signal considered are rispectively: 0÷5V 0÷10V,
±5V and ± 10 V in the case of voltage input, 0÷20 mA and 4 ÷ 20 mA in the case of current input.
Power supply: In the figure and table below are illustrated the arrangements and the terminal designation in order to make the correct
wiring. When utilizing the instrument with option 02, a regulated power supply of 5Vdc ±5% is recommanded and in any case avoid
to exceed a value of 5.5Vd because permanent damage can arise to the instument. The power consumption depend principally on the
type of display selected and it is indicated in the "technical specifications".
Span programming: This is performed by programming the proper DIP SWITCH, placed on the front of the instrument and available after removing the front panel, as illustrated on the Programming Table. The SW1 and SW2 switches are dedicated to program the span to be visualized, as indicated on the following table:

Once they are programmed, the adjustment of the desidered zero and full scale are executed by acting on the dedicated potentiometer while the correspondent signals of zero and full scale are applied at the inputs.
Decimal point selection: This is performed, after removing the front panel, by positioning the proper jumper (eventually see DAT 701 operating instructions).
24 Vdc aauxiiary output: When ordered with Opt. 05, it is available between T4 (V+) and T6(GND) terminals.
HOLD FUNCTION or ANALOG OUTPUT
To activate this function, simply HOLD(5) terminal must be connected to COM (6) terminal. The same terminal, when you have requested option 07/X, provides the analog output: 4-20mA(opt. 07/A), 0-20mA(opt. 07/B), 0-10V(opt. 07/C).
